History
1975
The company Dieter Oertel Chirurgische Instrumente was established by founder Dieter Oertel as a one-man operation. The first products were surgical instruments for the ear, nose and throat sector and were sold almost exclusively in the USA.
1983
A dwelling was constructed with a factory. Dieter Oertel Medizintechnik emerges.
1984
The son Ralf Oertel began an apprenticeship as a surgical mechanic and received a three-year education.
1986
He completed the one-year technical college with honors and finished his education.
1996
He successfully passed the master examination in surgical mechanics. Over the years the number of employees increased to 8 persons, whereupon the move to a larger factory began in 1998.
2003
The company was transferred to the son Ralf Oertel. The company was renamed to OERTEL MEDIZINTECHNIK.
2004
The CNC manufacturing of turned parts was introduced to the production line.
2006
Further innovations such as laser welding and CNC milling have been introduced.
Since March 2010
OERTEL Medizintechnik is certified according to DIN EN ISO 13485:2016 (13485:2010).
2014
Further steps were taken by performing the validation of processes: Cleaning, Passivation, Laser-etching and laserwelding.
2016
Introduction of the new product line "Surgical instruments for veterinarians"
2019
Since February 2019 our company is certified according to DIN EN ISO 13485:2016.
